Laptop Rental

About ExpatTech

Originally, we at ExpatTech only serviced and sold laptops and notebooks, but as more and more service customers asked about the availability of a "loaner" laptop while theirs was being service, we realized that there was a need and a market for laptop rentals in Budapest. So as of June 2007, we have assembled laptops for hire here in in Budapest, Hungary. As far as we know, we are the first company to offer a laptop rental service in all of Hungary and we are happy to fill yet another niche technology service for our customers. So if you are looking to rent, hire, or lease a laptop or notebook, ExpatTech can have a computer at your fingertips in no time. Want to learn more about ExpatTech? Click here

Who should rent a laptop?

Tourists and Travelers

Whether you are here for a long weekend or here for a month on business, having a laptop at your disposal is a great thing. Tourists can say goodbye to the hassle of fighting for a place in crowded pay-by-minute internet cafe and business travelers can enjoy the luxury of preparing work in the comfort of their own hotel room. Budapest boasts hundreds of free WI-FI coffeeshops and cafes, and with a rented laptop you can take your pick of where to work and where to surf. Send emails and chat with friends back home, research Budapest and plan your time in town with the many resources available on the web, comb through and sort out all of your travel photos, or even use SKYPE to hold a meeting.

Students

If you are studying here in Budapest, then maybe you have your own desktop or maybe you have no computer at all. Either way, having the mobility of a new laptop, even if just for a weekend, might really be a nice change once in a while. Maybe renting a laptop for a few days is just what you need to help finish a big assignment or school project, or maybe it would just be really nice to talk to friends and family back home without a paying a phone bill. Budapest is filled with cool WI-FI ready hangouts and you'll be ready to explore them all with your own rental laptop from ExpatTech.

Business People

Are you a new business with computers on order? Maybe you have a new employee who temporarily lacks a workstation? Whatever the situation, rental laptops from ExpatTech might be the answer. All of our machines come loaded with all of the standard Microsoft business applications that you would expect. Also, since we completely wipe the hard-drive of each machine after rental, loading any missing applications or data onto one of our computers is your prerogative.

Anyone Whose Computer is being Serviced

Whether you are having your computer serviced by us or someone else, ExpatTech knows what it is to go days or even weeks without your system and without the internet. Hungary is notoriously slow with laptop repairs that involve ordering parts. All parts must be ordered and delivered from abroad, but at least you can make the wait a little more bearable with a laptop rental from ExpatTech.

Special Bonus Offers

Rent a laptop from ExpatTech and receive 3 GB of space for 1 month on our secure server to upload your documents and pictures throughout your travels. Your important memories or work documents will be safe in our corner of cyberspace until you get home and retrieve them.

Get a 25% discount on laptop rental prices if you have your computer serviced by our qualified technicians. For information on our computer repair service, Click here.

-Keyboard

Rental Requirements

Unfortunately, organized crime and petty theft is alive and well in Eastern Europe. Therefore, we require the following of anyone wanting to rent or lease a laptop or notebook:

1. must have a valid passport for photocopying
2. must pay a 100000Ft cash deposit on each laptop
3. must make rental payment before taking laptop
4. must provide a valid credit card number
5. must leave a european tax id number for business rentals

What if it breaks, is lost, or stolen?

In the case of minor physical damage to the laptop, the approximate amount of the damage will be quickly assessed by our hardware team and deducted from your deposit. In the event of more serious or disputable damage, a thorough inspection will occur and we will work to come to an amicable agreement at which point your deposit will either be appropriately forfeited or returned. For customer related damages exceeding the amount of the deposit, a credit card charge can be made. Some issues may not be resolved before customer departure dates. In these instances, we are happy to resolve any issues via the internet as well as to accept any necessary payments via Paypal, credit card, or bank transfer. Likewise, any customer refunds can be made in the same manner.

In the case of a lost or stolen laptop, the customer must pay the original purchase price of the machine which will be clearly detailed upon rental. Payments can be made with cash, credit card, bank transfer, or via PayPal.
